Point-of-Care Human Trafficking Response

Help providers recognize and respond when the moment matters most.

A mobile-first solution that gives healthcare teams immediate access to human trafficking indicators, response steps, localized resources, and audience-specific support pathways.

Built with Justice U expertise
Powered by Viiision technology
For providers, patients, & communities

The Recognition Gap

There are over 1 Million victims of human trafficking in the US.

Even though 90% of victims are seen by healthcare providers up to 15–17x, fewer than 1% are identified.

1

Providers don't know the indicators

They already see the signs. They just don't know what it means.

2

They don't know the protocol

To activate or follow in their local healthcare setting.

3

They don't know the local resources

In their community they can call on to provide additional support.

The Criteria

Human trafficking response cannot depend on memory, timing, or chance.

What must a true solution include?

1

Training is critical, but not enough

75% of training is forgotten within a week. So while training is important to increase awareness, immediately accessible resources are needed in the moment to be able to act.

2

There is only a moment to act

Clinical teams often have only minutes with each patient. Just In Time puts critical guidance within reach during these vital moments.

3

All staff must be ready

Patients interact with more than providers. Front desk staff, nurses, security, social workers, and community-facing teams may see indicators, and need a clear, trusted response path.

4

Responses must be local and coordinated

We must provide an immediate pathway to safety and support. This requires working quickly, and closely, with local trusted resources who are also ready to act.

5

The stakes are high for everyone

Failure to identify and respond enables ongoing harm to the most vulnerable individuals in your care. It also causes distress and risk to your staff, and exposes your organization to legal, regulatory, and reputational exposure.

6

Trust is vital

Disclosure requires trust: that you are ready to help and that you care. Just In Time helps to build that trust and even provides a way to give individuals who are not yet ready to disclose access to do so when they are ready.

What experts and clients say about Just in Time

"Just In Time is transforming the way health care systems respond to human trafficking."

US Chamber of Commerce

"We found that providers often sensed something was wrong, but didn't know what to say, what signs mattered most, or what to do next.

Just In Time changed that immediately. It was easy to deploy, simple to access, and gave staff real support in the moment care was happening. In the very first week, staff began identifying cases and felt empowered in situations that previously felt overwhelming."

Amy Bogue, CEO, Allegro Family Clinics

Common Concerns, Answered

I'm not sure how complete or current our protocol is.

That's completely normal, and it's exactly where we start. Most organizations come to us with partial, outdated, or scattered protocols. Our experts review what you already have, fill in any gaps using best-practice frameworks, and shape it into a clear, current, in-the-moment guide your team can actually use. You won't be doing this alone.

Our providers are already extremely busy. How can you make this easy for them?

We designed Just In Time specifically for busy clinicians. There's nothing to install, no login, no extra workflow, just a single tap on their phone's home screen to access exactly the right guidance at the right moment. Training takes minutes (with optional CEUs), and from then on it simply supports the work they're already doing.

We have multiple locations and different branding.

No problem. Just In Time supports multiple brands, regions, and locations within a single deployment. Each site can have its own look, language, protocols, and local resources, while leadership still sees unified analytics across the whole system. You get consistency where it matters and flexibility where it counts.

Can we share with our other locations and partners?

Absolutely, and we encourage it. Sharing is built in. Once your tool is live, distributing it to additional locations, affiliated organizations, and community partners is as simple as sharing a link or QR code. The more broadly it's shared, the stronger your collective response becomes.

We are involved with our community and local leadership. How can we involve them?

Your community involvement is one of your greatest strengths, and Just In Time is built to amplify it. We help you curate and feature trusted local resources, partner organizations, and leadership voices directly inside the tool, so the people you already work with become part of the response. We'll also help you co-launch with community partners to maximize reach and impact.

Is there any PII, PHI, or other security risk?

No. Just In Time does not collect, store, or transmit any PII or PHI, and it requires no integration with your clinical systems. It runs as a point-of-care reference tool, so there's nothing to provision, no patient data to protect, and no new security surface for your team to review.

What are the procurement options?

We make procurement as frictionless as possible. Just In Time is available on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, which often dramatically simplifies the process since Microsoft is already an approved vendor for most organizations. Purchases can flow through existing Microsoft agreements and committed spend. We can also work directly with your procurement team and provide whatever documentation, security questionnaires, MSAs, and vendor-onboarding materials are needed to align with your standard purchasing process.
